WHAT A MONTH.
Wow this month has been one of the most challenging and rewarding months ever. So many impactful things happened that it’s taken me a few days to reflect on it all. I’m going to end each month with a wrap up on my favorite moments + share some of the things I’ve learned along the way.
A few lessons from February:
- Chase after your dreams – whether they’re big or small. Find victories in the small things and be a sponge – learn from everything and everyone. Pray for them. If they’re pleasing to God – He’ll make it happen.
2. Keep your family close. I don’t have a big family, but the family I have is incredible and absolutely my lifeline. Spend time thanking them and investing in them – they’re forever.
3. Find time to rest. And I don’t mean chill and watch Netflix or roam around Target. I mean finding time to be by yourself and completely unplug. Maybe that means a little Netlix and some Target – I’m all about that. Just make sure you give yourself time to be still and find rest so that you actually have the energy to do everything you need to do. I do a pretty bad job at this and sometimes God has to force me to do it – and trust me it’s much easier to get to a point of real rest when you choose it. Rest doesn’t mean you’re lazy, it means you’re obedient.
Some impactful moments below:
Oh wow. Watching a dream come to life is such an incredible thing. She’s Taylored probably seems like a really little thing but there have been years of prayer and work put behind it, but more importantly conviction and very clear affirmation to do it. She’s Taylored is a tiny little space on the internet that’s full of blogs similar to this one, but this space is where I get to encourage and do life with people I can’t necessarily see everyday. It’s my space to try to put out some good. I’m so thankful for anyone who’s read a single word here – it truly means the world. On to month two holla!
LIT Conference with Beth Moore
You can read more about this here, but this conference was a game changer for my passion for writing and for my walk with the Lord. I seriously encourage anyone to do the Beth Moore study, Entrusted, that was the pre-curser to this conference – it’s incredible!
The passing of my Nana
We lost my beautiful grandmother on February 11th and had an incredible memorial for her this past Friday. She had been suffering for a few years so we’re happy she’s in heaven with my Pop now, but it’s been really challenging for my family. She was the family matriarch and played a really significant role in each of our lives. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Love you more, Nana!
Some brighter spots from this month:
Reuniting with my college roommates best friends for Kate’s baby shower – she’s due ANY day now y’all!!
