Ladies – Meet Megan!
She’s the Ruth to my Naomi, the Blair to my Serena, the Christina to my Meredith (sorry I made you Christina, Meg. It was mainly because of the hair color but also because I just wanted to be Meredith. Don’t be mad.)
When Ryan and I moved to Dallas last year we didn’t have any couple friends that actually lived in Dallas. Megan and Alex were the first Dallas friends we made and our lives have significantly become more full because of them. They moved to Dallas the same month we did because as it turned out they got married exactly two weeks after us (spooky right?!).
On a whim, Megan invited Ryan and I to go get ice cream shortly after we all moved here. We ended up picking a really average place (still sorry about that, Broyles), but had the best time. For a few months after that we hung out a few times – both sides being pretty obsessed with the other but not wanting to come on too strong. We eventually got over it and confessed our friend-love and the rest is history! Dallas wouldn’t be the same without them.
More than just loving being their friends, Megan has had a really significant impact on my walk with the Lord. She’s my accountability partner, dream defender, and true sister in the faith. She’s a great writer and has the biggest heart for women so she’s gonna share a bit of her story with identity. This blog wouldn’t have been able to come to life without her and also she was brave and rocked the middle part in these photos and killed it so SHOW HER SOME LOVE Y’ALL.
Hi, I’m Megan.
Wanna know a secret? I stalk myself on social media kind of regularly. Before big events, I take a picture of myself after doing my makeup so I can see what I look like to the “real” world. I pick up super trendy & “in” clothing when I go to the mall, but I never buy anything without texting a photo to my sister or a friend first (& also studying the closets of the cutesy gals I know). I create perfectly placed backdrops & adjust items in the background of any Snapchats I take at home.
